Birmingham City University

Birmingham City University (BCU) has developed an operational and strategic partnership with Cambridge International Education Centre (CIEC) and Pearson to offer MBA programmes to distance learners. CIEC, led by Professor Stuart Wall, is responsible to BCU for all academic and content – related materials as well as supporting BCU in the development of both formative and summative assessments.

CIEC is responsible for authoring new content where needed and mapping appropriate Pearson content to the curriculum, as well as editorial oversight, design and development of teaching and learning materials consistent with a distance learning/online mode of delivery.

Each student receives, for each module, a customised e-Text, customised access to Pearson MyLabs and online lesson presentations.

Each module contains 200 hours of high-quality learning materials for students to progress through at their own pace in preparation for the summative assessments.
